In much the same way that Pokemon and YuGiOh started out in Japan, Chaotic was a trading card that originated in Denmark, which was named "Grolls and Gorks". In 2003 a world-wide licensing and distribution agreement was reached and Chaotic was brought to North America. 4Kids Entertainment joined in and the cards were redesigned along with the online platform and a new animated series was produced.
