• It was Ultra Magnus who was chose to next lead the Autobots after Optimus Prime fell at the Battle for Autobot City. Ultra Magnus' combination of courage, skill and compassion made him an ideal commander, though he felt increasingly uncomfortable with the mantle of leadership. When the young Autobot Hot Rod received the Matrix of Leadership and became Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus continued to serve faithfully at his side as he did Optimus Prime before him. Ultra Magnus is a consummate soldier whose greatest weakness is his lack of faith in himself, though his dedication to the mission rarely allows this failing to affect him in combat.
